How to create an event QR code
- Enter the event title and start time (end time is optional).
- Add a location and any details attendees should know.
- Download as PNG or SVG and put it on invitations, posters or tickets.
Never let guests forget the date
An event QR makes "add to calendar" effortless, which means better attendance. Combine it with
a location QR code for directions, or a
link QR code to your ticket page.
Frequently asked questions
- What does an event QR code do?
- When scanned, it offers to add the event to the phone’s calendar with the title, time, location and details pre-filled. It uses the standard iCalendar format apps recognize.
- Which calendars does it work with?
- Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and most others read the iCalendar (VEVENT) data this code contains.
- How are time zones handled?
- The times are saved as local "floating" times, so the event shows at the clock time you entered on the attendee’s device. Enter the time as it should appear locally at the venue.
- Can I include an end time and location?
- Yes. End time, location and a description are all optional — only a title and start time are required.
- Is the event data uploaded anywhere?
- No. The code is generated in your browser and nothing is stored or sent.
